Axon Runners App Reviews

I see why its free...

Game controls are unresponsive. A single jump takes 3-4 swipes to register. Half the time it results in an attack instead as that is a double tap... Which does not make sense because of the attack button on the screen. In other words the controls horribly conflict with one another. Gave up after 50 attempts on level 2.

Needs adjustment, great game.

Controls arent sensitive enough. Sometimes it doesnt respond. Graphics are alright, they could be a but more crisp. Its very hard to see on some levels, and fix the respawn. Other than that, great game, awesome concepts, its something new!!! A multiplayer game would be great!!

Frustrated

The game has a great idea, good concept, but the controls killed everything. I would have preferred on screen steering or tilt steering. The swiping thing just makes the game impossible to enjoy, and its not very responsive. CHANGE THE CONTROLS and you will have an awesome game on your hands! The users have spoken!!

Infinity mode pls

PLS CAN YOU MAKE A INFINITY MODE

Not bad ...

But very difficult for me:-(

All of ever needed.

Completely addicting- finally a hover board game worthwhile. I have a few additions though- there should be a "practice" stage, where it is like freestyle with minimal obstacles. Also, maybe a multiplayer race or freestyle. Other then that, LOVE the graphics, music goes well, controls are great, and the realistic movements of the hoverboard and its rider are magnificent. I still would enjoy a couple of freestyle stages and multiplayer, though. Cant wait for that update to come:)

Axon Runners. Bad Game

Very Bad Game.

Great to get new levels

Great update, with new levels that are a bit easier than those before, too. Waiting for Chapter 2 now!

No, its not

Not a very bad game, like the spoiled kid who probably got it for free anyway, says in his brilliant and useful review below. The world is very bold and original. Hints if trickstyle for dreamcast, a good sense of speed, and easy to learn mechanics. Worth a buck without question, especially if the theme is your thing.

love the art style and story

Fantastic! Cant wait for more levels

not bad

cool game. has a virtual reality feel to it. and its free!

LOVE THESE KIND OF GAMES!

I really get into games like this where there is a lot of motion involved. Its becoming the new thing. Great job!

Poor control

This could be a really fun game, but the poor gameplay control makes it more frustrating than anything else. Swiping makes you jump, move to the side, jump and and to the side… too many options and too imprecise a touchscreen detection interface.

Bad game overall

Bad game with bad controls

Coke Zero

Axon Runners is a too hard to control. The idea of swipe controls are great for touchscreens. The execution here is too limited. The Axon Runner rides a hoverboard that can defy gravity, meaning you can ride on walls and the ceiling. The swiping, however, is left right. If I could circle swipe, then riding on walls and ceilings would be easier. Tapping the screen to jump would also be easier than swiping up, the act of swiping up means you are not swiping left or right to control your direction. How do controls like this get past beta testers? The controls are made worse by the amount of junk in the tunnels you ride through. The actual hazards are difficult to make out in all of the visual clutter. Again, beta testers? I have some thoughts on the Coke Zero tie-in. What is in Coke Zero? You have some junk that makes it look brown, some junk that makes it taste like it has sugar in it, and then some caffiene. As fast as the Axon Runners go, I would think they would want some sugar with that caffiene. Perhaps the Coke Zero fit into the story somewhere, but I wouldnt know. The idea of story is ludicrous for a game about a guy who rides through empty tunnels by himself. Games like this are made by how fun they are to play, and this game was just not that fun.

Great Game

It took me a while to understand the controls but other than that its really a great game
